A body-off restoration separates major vehicle structures and changes how each piece must be supported, moved and kept in alignment.
Ordinary service-lift capacity alone does not approve that work. Before disassembly, have qualified specialists plan the body and chassis supports, attachment points, bracing where required, lifting equipment and storage route. Identify all connections that must be addressed using the vehicle’s service information. Removing heavy assemblies changes balance and may change which lifting points are suitable. Do not improvise with lift arms, slings or supports. The project needs a support and alignment plan for every stage, rather than assuming a complete-vehicle setup will remain safe.
