These labels describe different things. Scissor refers to the lifting mechanism, while portable describes permitted movement or storage. Some scissor lifts are portable too. Compare the exact equipment’s support points, center access, operating height and installation requirements. A pair of portable frames may leave a different opening beneath the vehicle than a platform-style scissor design. Neither description proves that a vehicle will fit. Check the manuals and approved lifting points, and confirm when and how the equipment may be moved.
